About Galena:

Galena is owned by Dara Liss of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a 2004 Oldenburg filly by Galeno Tyme. Galena's dam, Ledges, resides on the property with Galena, and it is a treat to see them progress together at Falkland Stables.

Galena has quite a namesake to live up to, and so far she is off to a great start, surpassing all expectations. She began under saddle work (with Melissa Ward and Dara Liss) during the summer of 2008 at four years old, and she shares the eager, kind mind of her sire and siblings. As expected, her rideability and trainability is off the charts. Her movement and talent are consistent with the strong G-line, and she inherited the spark of her dam's line. We are excited to watch her training progress in 2009.
